Yi Chen

Yi Studied telecommunication at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China before coming to the UK, where she got her Masters degree in psychology from Bangor University. After a short break as a software designer and developer, she moved back to academia to pursue a PhD in HCI (Human-Computer Interaction) and explored the application and retrieval of personal digital memories. After her PhD, Yi continued her postdoctoral training at Aalto University in Finland, focusing on applying frontier machine learning methods to information retrieval and information visualisation. She is enthusiastic about designing and developing user-friendly software, and she is excited to apply her skills to work on the Chemical Probes Portal.
