Xavier Morelli
Cancer Research Center of Marseille (CRCM), CNRS
Xavier Morelli studied Structural Biochemistry at the University of Paris XI (France). He did his PhD in the area of Protein-Protein Interactions (PPIs) coupling molecular modeling with biological NMR (1996-1999). He continued his career at Harvard Medical School as postdoctoral scientist in the division of hemostasis and thrombosis (BIDMC, 1999-2002). In 2002, he was recruited at the ‘Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique’ (CNRS, France) to develop a program related to PPI’s modulations, first as research scientist, from 2002 to 2010 and then as Director of Research. In 2010 he moved to the Cancer Research Center of Marseille (CRCM, France) to develop his own laboratory, focusing on the identification, understanding and modulation of protein-protein interactions (PPIs) using integrated structural and chemical biology approaches. He is now ‘Group Leader’ at CRCM and Director of ‘HiTS’, a High-Throughput Screening Platform with a National label from the French ministry of research and Aix-Marseille Université.
