Martin E Swarbrick

Martin obtained a BSc and PhD in chemistry from the University of Sheffield, UK, and carried out post-doctoral research at the University of Montreal, Canada. He returned to the UK to take up a role in industrial drug discovery and development at GlaxoSmithKline, where he went on to lead medicinal chemistry teams and discovery projects and directly contributed to the delivery of eight development candidate compounds. In 2008, Martin joined CRT’s Discovery Laboratories (CRT-DL), gaining experience of translational drug discovery and of multi-site industry-academia alliances. He now leads CRT-DL’s Chemistry and DMPK function and is site lead for their laboratories at the Babraham Research Campus, near Cambridge, UK.
