Ian Churcher

Trained originally as a medicinal chemist, Ian Churcher currently leads a department within GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) research and development applying a new chemical technology to the delivery of drug candidates. Prior to this, previous roles have included oversight of the GSK screening collection enhancement chemistry strategy as well as leading the fragment-based drug design chemistry department. Ian also holds a visiting professorship within the department of Chemistry at the University of Oxford, UK. Across these roles, assessing and improving the utility of chemical probe molecules has been a recurring requirement.
